So Long Suzy 04:05
My name is Johnny French I got a job working hard for the city I run a dozer and a blade just south of town gettin dirty and gritty Got me a lady named Suzy you know she's my only one but here lately shes been restless and crazy as tough as they come. I said baby whats the problem what did I do wrong She said "boy you know exactly whats been going on." She wants a ring on her finger a diamond on her hand a symbol of commitment from and uncommitted man. If she dont get it she's walking away I said "so long Suzy, hate to end it that way." The next day at work I told the boys about my troubled past Told them Suzy was gonna leave me If I dont marry her fast They said Johnny dont be a fool dont get caught up in that trap If that woman decides to leave you, you know she'll be coming back I just stood there nodding shaking my head cuz I know just what that little girl has gotta have. She wants a ring on her finger a diamond on her hand a symbol of commitment from and uncommitted man. If she dont get it she's walking away I said "so long Suzy, hate to end it that way." I know what I've gotta do I know what I've gotta say That night when I got home I looked her in the eyes said baby I'm sorry I was outta my mind I aint a perfect man but I try to walk that line. She said boy dont be a fool you know what I need I aint gonna quit until youre down on one knee. She wants a ring on her finger a diamond on her hand a symbol of commitment from and uncommitted man. If she dont get it she's walking away I said "so long Suzy, hate to end it that way."

I been sitting down here pondering my life and looking back At the foolishness of youth and all the fun I had I cant help but wonder if them days are gone for good I'd like to think that they ain't over time wasted just aint no good All the things I wish I'd dont you know I finally made amends If I could turn back time I'd do them all again Except I would have kissed you on the lips that night under the moon shining bright Said to hell with all my worries, tried to take love for a ride Sold all of my belongings, backpacked across the USA I want to be that train laying down my own tracks. I want the younger me back I've got a good friend who settled down Got a wife and kids of his own. Somethimes we get to talking about life and how it unfolds A couple of beers later he's reminiscing about days gone by and all the things he wished he would have done that passed in the blink of an eye. Through the trials and tribulations he says I'm still a happy man Theres just a couple of things that I'd like to do again. I want to drive out to Colorado cross the Wyoming plains Jet set across the pacific see the rising sun of Japan Set sail out to an island and call it by my own name I want to be that train layin down my own tracks. I want the younger me back Through all the ups and downs and all the rights and wrongs theres just a couple of things that I wish I'd done. I want to chase all my dreams down never let them get away. Do all the thing I talked about but put off for another day I want to fuel my fire with love and happiness I want to be that train layin down my own tracks. I want the younger me back.

Dry your eyes baby you know I'm going out again. My finger in the air my dream blowin on the wind. I'm packing up and leavin gotta try to chase it down again. I dont know where I'm going but I sure as hell ain't stayin in. So say a prayer for me Think about what might have been If we were lovers undercover dreaming of happiness. Take my hand honey I'll be your loving man tonight. Feeling so good we're dancing in the moonlight. Love me while I'm here baby tomorrow I'll be gone. but I promise you I'll bring that dream on home. So say a prayer for me Think about what might have been If we were lovers undercover dreaming of happiness. I'm on my way down I need you angel of greatness to shine down on me I need your angel of greatness to shine on.

I want to be right where you are I want to see all that you saw I want to hold you close in the darkness before dawn They say true love it will never fade Warm you in the sun, cool you in the shade Were two rambling souls that collided along the way. We travel miles and miles to the rising sun We travel miles and miles but its towards home we run. The busted legs of this tired town They pick us up, they wore us down. We spend most our time trying to get out When I was young I wanted to get away Now I'm old you know I want to stay. and time moves faster everyday We travel miles and miles to the rising sun We travel miles and miles but its towards home we run. If I said you were the one that got away Would you love me or leave me to blame Until I broke upon the rocks on the crest of a wave. We travel miles and miles to the rising sun We travel miles and miles but its towards home we run. We run

Grew up slow in a small town under my mothers watchful eye Played a little bit of football got some glory on a Friday night I could run that pigskin faster than you ever seen That was just a small piece You ain't seen the best of me Never been to them bright lights of New York or LA Spend my nights under moonlight fishing on the lake. I can tell you all the sweet spots where you can go wet a line. Maybe light a bonfire on the beach but you aint seen the best of me You aint seen all the way that I could love you Hold you close and give you everything you need You aint felt the weight of my devotion. No You aint seen the best of me Never wanted much of anyone Always wanted to be myself She was like a ray of sunshine come burning through my cloudy shell. She taught me how to stay satisfied and be a better man but she aint seen the best of me. She aint seen all the ways the I could love her Hold her close and give her everything she needs She aint felt the weight of my devotion She aint seen the best of me. When I'm old and looking back On a life I cant believe Oh darling, you still aint seen the best of Aint see the best of me.

Runaway 03:42
She was a rebel and a runner and a fighter I tried so hard to pin her down She was the fuel that was burning my fire and the fire that burned me to the ground. Sometime I here her calling my name in the dark though I know that no one is around. Cold sweat drippin off of my head and I'm shaking off the demons and the sound. Singin "Oh my my, ain't no lie that all you ever was was a runaway and all you ever was, was a runaway." The past was like a promise that I never could keep and the days were shorter than the nights. I fear the world is fallin on me and theres a war going on in my mind. I turn around and the headlights slam, she was gone forever nowhere to be found, I was bruised and broken lying on the floor crying out to god I can't take no more. Singin "Oh my my, ain't no lie that all you ever was was a runaway and all you ever was, was a runaway. Ain't no one here to share the load Now I'm reaping all I've sewed God bless all that sacrificed I'll see you on the other side. We'll be singing "Oh my my ain't no lie that all you ever was was a runaway and all you ever was was a runaway."

Eyes On You 04:09
Roll the windows down honey let the night in, were leaving all our busted dreams behind. I know what all the old folks will be saying but they dont understand a love like yours and mine We drive all night in the pouring rain your hand in mine eases the worrying I knew you were the one for me first time I laid eyes on you. Traffics jammed on the interstate at midnight for two young lovers trying to break free we point our headlights south and start a new life leaving behind this town thats brought us to our knees and we drive all night in the pouring rain your hand in mine eases the worrying I knew you were the one for me first time I laid eyes on you So tell me baby where you want to run away to and thats the way we'll go. I'll follow you up or down through heaven and hell and then I'll turn around and you know I'd bring you home because I knew first time I laid eyes on you When all is said and done there aint nothing in this world except for you and me I know I ain't all that you ever wanted but I swear I'll be all that you'll ever need.
